Last week, COS was celebrating the opening of its third store in Japan with its distinguished guests from the worlds of fashion, art and design at the official opening party of the brand’s new store in Ginza, Tokyo.
Set over two floors, the modern 558 square meters space is located in the vibrant Ginza district. Tokyo based DJ Peli and DJs Taiki & Noah entertained as guests discovered menswear, womenswear and childrenswear from the Spring Summer 2017 collection.
Reflecting the COS design aesthetic, the new store brings to life the concept of modern transitions, featuring architectural archways, referencing the Japanese ‘mon’ in the feature entrance and cut-out windows. Taking inspiration from brutalist architecture, the store façade is clad in corrugated steel, creating tactility and depth, whilst the interior features raw steel and concrete fittings.
