“Beauty is meaningless without humanity, generosity and openness to others” – Clarins founder Jacques Courtin – Clarins.
Clarins actively supports initiatives and partnerships that provide help to those who need it with a purpose to make a difference in people’s lives in that same spirit. 2021 marks the 10th anniversary of Clarins and FEED longstanding partnership of fighting hunger and feeding children worldwide.
Clarins ongoing commitment and steadfast support since 2011 with FEED’S mission of ending childhood hunger, promoting education, and strengthening communities have successfully fed over 36 million school meals through the United Nations World Food Programme. More than just a meal, the Clarins & FEED mission helps children learn, grow and thrive.
The partnership aims to raise awareness of how the public can help fight against childhood hunger through their concept of a gift with purchase to a ‘gift with purpose‘, where Clarins customers are empowered to give directly to those in need through their choice of purchases. This October 2021, Clarins customers can partake in the mission when they purchase RM380 and above on Clarins products that comes with a special edition FEED pouch gift which in return, helps provide seven school meals.
Similarly, a local partnership is initiated with The Lost Food Project (TLFP), one of Malaysia’s pioneering food banks that actively rescues and redistributes quality surplus food to people who need it most. According to Margaret Sze, General Manager of Clarins Malaysia, the collaboration between TLFP and Clarins Malaysia aims to work towards a common goal of Zero Hunger, Zero Food Waste, and Zero Carbon.
Clarins Malaysia and TLFP collaboration aims o make a difference to eliminate hunger and help protect the environment in Malaysia through a 6-month campaign, starting from October 2021 to March 2022, in which Clarins Malaysia pledges to:
- Improve nutrition and health of the communities in need by providing up to 100,000 wholesome meals; and
- combat climate change by rescuing surplus nutritious food from going to landfills by saving 87,500kg of CO2.
Through this collaboration, Clarins Malaysia hopes to inspire and engage its customers to be part of this partnership whereby they can enjoy a RM1 OFF with any in-store purchase at Clarins Retails Boutiques & Skin Spa when they opt for no paper bag. The RM1 OFF will be contributed, on behalf of Clarins Malaysia, to TLFP to provide additional meals on top of Clarins Malaysia’s pledged 100,000 meals.
