In the beauty world, Beyoncé is one of the most popular beauty inspirations. “Beyoncé’s beauty falls squarely within the realm of respectable Black beauty; fair skinned, light eyes, and silky blond hair,” as cited by The Beyonce Effect.
Being one of the top beauty icons, everyone wants to know your beauty tips and secrets. So we did some sleuthing, and found five tips you can learn from the woman herself.
1. One of her anti-fatigue beauty trick is a pair of good sunglasses.
Sunglasses are one of the best-kept secret skincare weapons. It help prevent squinting from the sun which causes crow’s feet. During an interview with Elle, she revealed ,”I always keep a pair of Ray-Bans handy! And sometimes I put a little gold eye shadow in the inner corners of my eyes—it’s more subtle than white, but it still really makes you look more awake.”
2. She always make time to take care of her hands and nails.
Queen Bey has always been spotted with her shining nails. Her finger tips include giving her nails 24 hours to breathe in between manicures, and massaging a vitamin E capsule into her nails for shine and health.
4. She applies lip balm to her lashes because it will make them appear curlier
One of her must have beauty product is the Rosebud Slave, a cult favourite that is loved by makeup artists and celebrities. ” I did this trick last summer, when I was on vacation: I used it to prime my lashes before curling. It was like a natural mascara. It made the lashes hold the curl and look shiny,” Beyoncé shared with Allure during an interview.
4. Stay away from using anything that creates shine on the center of the face
“The center of the face should always stay matte,” said Beyoncé’s makeup artist Sir John. “That way, when you take pictures straight on you won’t look oily or shiny.”
5. Treat your skin from the inside out
In an interview with The Cut, Sir John shared that the major keys to glowing skin are juicing, an anti-inflammatory diet, and working up a sweat at least 20 minutes a day. He told The Cut, “I always tell my clients to drink a carrot juice before a big event because you will see the results literally overnight.”
