Being in your 20s is great. Getting our first job in our 20s, staying up late at night in our 20s, drinking in your 20s, you know the drill.

However from 25 years onward, skin elasticity starts to drop. Your skin is suddenly not going to be as tight as it used to be, and one day you will have to face the fact that you will no longer be in your 20s.

Should aging be a concern? Yes. It’s crucial to use good skincare products to reduce and prevent signs of premature ageing, maintaining their youthful and healthy looking skin as long as possible.

Want to keep the youth, before the age of 30? Here are five things you should keep note of.

1. Exfoliating your face. We suggest exfoliating twice a week as part of a good home care regime – both the face and body. While it’s important to remove dead skin it’s also important not to strip away too many of your natural oils, so a good balance is essential.

2. Wash your face after wake up. Dead skin cells then tend to accumulate when you are sleeping at night and water is not enough to clean out all the dirt. Cell turnover happens at night, so if you don’t wash in the morning you’re stuck with those dead skin cells all day.

3. Eye cream. The skin around the eye thins as we age, exposing the tiny blood vessels that lie just below. With regards to the eye area, since this skin is constantly moving from smiling, squinting and rubbing, an eye cream definitely prevents collagen and elasticity breakdown.

4. Sunscreen. With most part of the world currently experiencing hot sunny days, it’s crucial to apply sunscreen on your skin before going outside. Even if the sun is not out, up to 80 percent of the sun’s ultraviolet rays can pass through the clouds and cause harm to your skin.

5. Develop good sleep habits. Beauty sleep is a real thing. Sleep and energy balance are essential for health. In fact, a good night’s sleep is one of the three pillars of good health along with a balanced diet and regular exercise.
