We Love These Medium Length Hairstyles

I always toss between hairstyles and go through different looks because I get inspired and want to achieve a fresh new look each year. I’ve gone through pixie cuts, bobs, long wild natural hair. Right now I’m sporting a lob – but really it’s just my hair growing out of it’s pixie-turn-bob phase. My hair falls right at the collarbone and I love it.

It’s long enough to be versatile and I love how light it feels. I have wispy layers which gives my natural waves a nice flow. I also think a mid-length hairstyle is the perfect length to try various different styles. This got me thinking, what other medium length hairstyles are out there? What if I wanted to switch up my look? You may or may not have seen these looks but don’t you think they look really great?
Tell us, are you now sporting a medium length hair do and would you dare chop off your locks if you’re hair is currently very long? You might consider it as it’s one of the trendiest looks!

1. Long Bangs

This is a great option for framing your face when you have mid-length hair. It flows nicely and gives that wispy effect that is so romantic and chic.

2. Layer, layer, layer

No matter the length of your hair, layers look great when you have mid-length and depending on the type of hair you have – straight, wavy, or curly – it’s still a good look! Layer them long or short and you’ll achieve different levels of volume.

3. Shoulder length chop

If you aren’t into layers, then a chop at shoulder length is still a great look. This looks best with straight hair but be careful because it can get a little… flat.

4. Center parted and tousled hair

If your hair is long enough to frame your face with the shortest layer beginning and your chin, then try a centre parted look. You don’t want to try this with layers that are too short because it might end up look a little clown-esque, but when your hair is long and flowy, a center part is very trendy!

5. Waves

If you have naturally wavy hair, good for you! A mid-length shag looks great with gentle waves and this is not the time to shy away from them. Let them run free and tousled, a great look for beach waves too!
