Matte liquid lipstick has taken the beauty world by storm for quite awhile. Ever since its introduction, many brands have been launching their own lines of liquid lipsticks.
Over the weekend, we came across one beauty company which intrigued us a lot. Called Anya Arabella, the matte liquid lipstick brand was introduced to Malaysians earlier this year which uses collagen as one of the ingredients. Collagen-based beauty products have been used sporadically. But this is the first time we actually heard about collagen-based matte liquid lipsticks.
Founded by cousins Natasha Nadrah and Wahida Firdaus, Anya Arabella is a French-formulated, Malaysian-made collagen matte liquid lipsticks.
According to The Star Online, Natasha was driven to come up with her own lipstick line because she has sensitive lips and was often disappointed by what was available in the market. Therefore, she teamed up with Marrianne Flore Benoit of Paris, Natasha’s dermatologist and aesthetician friend, and created Anya Arabella collagen matte liquid lipsticks, to what Natasha describes is the world’s first collagen matte liquid lipstick which able to make women’s lips look poutier naturally.
Currently, the Anya Arabella matte liquid lipstick line has five different colours — Esmeralda, Berry, Blushing Belle, Coral and Mademoiselle.
The lipsticks are made from collagen, coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, jojoba, beeswax, Vitamin E and olive oil.
On top of that, Anya Arabella does not use any harsh chemicals or harmful ingredients in their products although they promise bee-stung lips after application (which also happens to be their tagline), said Natasha during an interview with The Star.
