Do you battle with oily skin on a daily basis and struggle to find the right makeup products for you? It can be difficult to find the right makeup which will not only suit your skin type, but that won’t melt off your face by the end of the day. Oily skin is particularly difficult because it can leave that shine and gleam that we so dread…
When searching for a primer for your oily skin, opt for one that’s powder, mattifying or a liquid to powder. You’ll also ideally want a primer that is oil-free!
The Pamper. My team are here to share a few primers that are great for oily skin. It will help set the base for your skin before you apply your foundation and other makeup, and will help reduce oiliness creeping up to the surface.
Benefit – The Pore-fessional
Devoted to making large pores look less noticeable, The Porefessional’s oil-free formula and long-lasting results have made it a Benefit bestseller.
Smashbox – Photo Finish Primer
Smash box has made a name for themselves when it comes to primer, so much so they now have a range for various skin types. But we think the original is still the best! Oil-free and with a velvety texture.
Urban Decay – Pore Perfecting Primer Potion
Expect your foundation to glide on without a hint of the oily shine. We love the powdery soft texture this leaves on our skin and makeup glides on effortlessly! Definitely one of our favourites and in fact, it lasts all-day.
Laura Mercier – Foundation Primer Oil-free
Oily-skinned gals with love the consistency of this gel primer. It mattifies your skin and has antioxidant green tea extract, vitamins A, C, and E and cucumber which help soothe irritated complexions.
MAC – Prep & Prime Natural Radiance
This reduces oiliness, but also preps and prime your skin for exactly what it says – natural radiance. We tried this and instantly fell in love with the effect – but being a MAC product, it isn’t he most affordable on the market. But still, amazing nonetheless!
Give these primers a try and you’ll definitely notice the difference. In fact, you’ll probably ask yourself why you haven’t used a primer before.
