It is safe to say that almost every perfume has a matching body lotion available. What if I tell you that you can have a matching fragrance to your favourite lip colours?
That’s right. M.A.C Cosmetics is releasing a collection of fragrances named “Shadescents” inspired by the brand’s best-selling lipsticks –Ruby Woo, Lady Danger, Heroine, Velvet Teddy, Creme d’Nude, and Candy Yum-Yum.
The Shadescent fragrances come in vibrantly bright bottles which are said to reflect the “personality” of each lipstick. Unlike most perfumes that adhere to the complicated base, middle, and top note construct, each fragrance comprises one dominant aroma.
Here’s how the inspiration translates: Candy Yum-Yum has notes of “fruity floral gourmand” while My Heroine translates to a rich woody leather. Velvet Teddy and Crème d’Nude are subtly sexy; both give the wearer a softer, less imposing veil of musky amber. Ruby Woo taking on a floral route with deep leather while Lady Danger is a “woody floriental” with notes of wild cherry.
M.A.C Cosmetics Shadescents (RM250 per fragrance) is now available online and at all M.A.C Cosmetics stores nationwide.
