Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele presented the brand’s Epilogue collection in a unique show held in Rome on July 17. The Epilogue’s beauty looks reflected his playful experimentation aimed at reversing the traditional fashion rules and perspectives, and delivered an original take on makeup, in line with Gucci Beauty’s manifesto of freedom and self-expression.
The beauty looks were created by Gucci Global Makeup Artist Thomas de Kluyver using a great combination of Gucci eye makeup products:
- Mascara L’Obscur – a buildable mascara created with the ultimate ultra-rich creamy formulation for customized application;
- Éclat De Beauté Effet Lumière – a multi-use gel gloss adding a transparent veil of high shine power to eyes, lips and cheeks; and
- New Crayon Définition Sourcils – a versatile tool for drawing and filling in the brows, with a powdery texture and easy-to-blend formula.
To complement the looks, the new Poudre de Beauté Mat Naturel, a buildable face powder was used to create a unified and naturally smooth complexion. Various formulas of Rouge à Lèvres lipsticks were also featured, along with the latest addition, Vernis à Ongles, a long-lasting nail polish available in a selection of vibrant shades, to complete the looks.
