Oh boy, we’re still fanning ourselves from Urban Decay Cosmetics Naked Heat Collection launch yesterday, the collection itself is one of the hottest but it’s not Urban Decay if there’s no entertainment involved. Fire breathers anyone?
Held at Avenue K Rooftop, which transformed into a summer BBQ affair with picnic tables and bean bags scattered around along with some refreshing drinks and BBQ to last you through the night and heat.
From personalized matchboxes that’ll definitely come in handy during celebratory occasions to flatlay, photo ops, makeup and hair stations, everyone is able to experience the Naked Heat collection firsthand before it launches in all Urban Decay and Sephora store nationwide tomorrow! We also spoke to Amanda who has traveled all the way from Urban Decay Cosmetics Los Angeles and who has been with the brand for about eight years on her take on this hot collection!
Pamper.My: How did you guys in Urban Decay get the inspiration to create the Naked Heat palette?
Amanda: Last year, we launched the limited edition Vice Palette and this particular shade from there called Extra Bitter which became so well-loved by everyone, it was a frenzy! From there Wendy (Co-founder of Urban Decay Cosmetics) and the team drew inspiration from that shade and realized that everyone has been using these burnt orange shades in singles, so why not just create one palette that has it all in one?
Pamper.My: What are your favourite shades from the Naked Heat palette?
Amanda: I really gravitate towards burnt orange shades such as Sauced, Cayenne and En Fuego. I think this palette is going to be on trend for a long time that’ll carry throughout the seasons and is suitable for all skin tones because of the warm undertone.
Pamper.My: If you had to choose one lipstick among the 3 limited edition shades from this collection, which will it be?
Amanda: Definitely the nude shade called Fuel (It’s a creamy warm peachy nude). Wendy took a really long time to create this shade that will be universal for everyone and not give you concealer lips. If I could pick another shade, I’ll go for the red shade called Heat
Urban Decay’s Naked Heat palette, RM230, Vice Lipstick, RM75 each, and 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, RM85 are going to be available at Urban Decay freestanding stores and all Sephora stores nationwide starting 13 July 2017 which is tomorrow!
