The dUCk Group and its customers joined force to raise funds through the ‘Paint Your dUCk’ auction sale, held on www.getducked.com from the 20th to the 27th of July, to support medical frontliners during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a crowdsourced event where participants from dUCk’s ‘Paint Your dUCk’ contest were able to list their signature purple box artwork on dUCk’s website to be purchased by interested bidders for a good cause. The funds raised will be donated to IMAM Response & Relief Team (IMARET) to purchase medical equipment such as oxygen tanks and to help mobilise volunteers at COVID-19 Assessment Centres (CACs) and mobile PPVs.
The success of the auction lies with the customers who listed their beautiful artwork to support the initiative by The dUCk Group. The auction saw a total of 150 artists participating with a total of 483 unique artworks listed for sale.

Besides the ‘Paint Your dUCk’ auction, dUCk collaborated with Art Battalion to launch the Hope by Art Battalion collection to support the art industry which has been impacted since the pandemic. Art Battalion is a group of Malaysian professional mural artists that are known for their murals. To date, they have painted over 500 murals around Malaysia. dUCk partnered with 22 of their artists to create 107 one-of-a-kind hand-painted dUCk shopping bags. The collection, which was launched on the 15th of July sold out within 3 minutes! You can head over to their Instagram page @art.battalion to view the creations by Art Battalion and to support their art.
True to their commitment to supporting communities in need, this is not the first initiative that The dUCk Group has created fund streams. Just recently, dUCk joined hands with MyFundAction to launch an emergency fund to raise a total of RM500,000 to feed families who had a loss of income. While in May, the dUCk Group partnered with Viva Palestina Malaysia (VPM) to set up an emergency fund to provide medical and critical aid for Palestinian victims. In just 2 days, the group was able to raise RM1,000,000 in funds. To add a little more joy during the Raya festivities this year as well, dUCk donated RM100,000 to old folks’ homes across Malaysia to celebrate the occasion.
In 2020, the group donated 1,700 Fluff dUCk scarves, which are headscarves made from 100 per cent cotton for frontliners, distributed via Pertubuhan Ikram Malaysia.
