If you have been avoiding that ais kacang in fear of feeling a sudden sharp pain to your tooth, you may be suffering from tooth sensitivity. For the month of August 2017, Malaysians can receive a free dental check-up to diagnose their tooth sensitivity so that they may enjoy the foods they love, thanks to Sensodyne Malaysia and the Malaysian Dental Association.
Dubbed the ‘Check-Up’ campaign, Sensodyne Malaysia is encouraging individuals who are unsure if they are suffering from tooth sensitivity to first visit the Sensodyne Malaysia Facebook page mysensodynecheckup.com and take the sensitivity test to determine their condition. Once they have the results, they will be able to access the list of participating dental clinics to schedule their free check-up.
Tooth sensitivity or dentine hypersensitivity is a common problem; in fact, one in three people suffer from this condition1. Characterised by a sharp, sudden pain to your tooth, the symptoms of tooth sensitivity can be associated with a variety of external stimuli such as eating, drinking, tooth brushing and sometimes breathing2 (especially in colder climates), all of which can interrupt your favourite moments and have a significant impact on the sufferer’s quality of life.
Sensodyne Malaysia’s ‘Check-Up’ campaign aims to provide free dental check-ups to all Malaysians, with close to 400 participating dental clinics throughout the month of August 2017. Malaysians who are unsure of their condition can take a simple self-diagnostic sensitivity test on Sensodyne Malaysia’s Facebook page and can also find the list of participating dental clinics to make their appointments.
