adidas joins hands with David Beckham to launch the ULTRABOOST19 DB99 limited edition running shoes in tribute to his epic rise to the top. Dubbed as the ULTRABOOST19 DB99, the name was inspired by David’s initials and the 99 stands for the year of 1999, a year of particular importance to David Beckham. The design was inspired by the life story of David Beckham, both looking to the past and to the future.
“1999 was an important year for me, in terms of both career development and personal life. So, this pair of shoes is extraordinarily special to me.” said David in an interview, “The colours chosen for the design are white with a flash of orange. I have always loved white trainers. The eye-catching fluorescent orange and the letters DB99 in black are a perfect match.”
adidas has embodied the spirit of unleashing one’s potential with a fashion forward attitude through the partnership with David Beckham on the ULTRABOOST DB99. DB99 is printed on the tongue label and on the sole of this limited edition pair of shoes. Compared to previous models in the ULTRABOOST series, the ULTRABOOST19 range has adopted a lighter fabric.
The adidas ULTRABOOST19 DB99 running shoes will be retailing at the price of RM850. The shoe will be available on www.adidas.com.my and at selected adidas stores starting 1 November 2019.
