Johnson & Johnson launched a simple, free, science-based wellness app designed – 7 Minute Wellness for Expecting and New Moms™app, available on the App Store and the Google Play store, to help expecting and new moms care for body, mind, and baby.
The app offers personalized sessions to help new and expecting moms expand and manage their energy, include 7 Minute Workout sessions that are customized to the mom’s week of pregnancy or postnatal phase, individual fitness and energy levels, or any physical discomfort she may be experiencing. They were designed by Chris Jordan, Director of Exercise Physiology at the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute.
Mind and Body sessions in the app offer techniques to help create balance, relax the mind, relieve stress and discomfort, and care for a woman’s body during this important time. They are guided by Jennifer Lea, Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute Director of Client Training.
No special equipment is needed; sessions are designed to be simple and help women achieve and maintain fitness and balance – in body and mind.
The 7 Minute Wellness for Expecting and New Moms™ app draws on over 30 years of experience and research from the pioneers of human energy management and expansion at the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute. The app was developed using the fundamentals of Energy for Performance® training plus insights from a Johnson & Johnson study conducted with approximately 1,400 pre- and post-natal women.
