Monki believes that there is no room for shame or stigma when it comes to such a normal bodily function as periods. In conjunction with Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28, the brand wants to remind the world that periods are a part of life.
Since 2017, Monki has been supporting The Cup Foundation, a non-profit organization with a mission to empower underprivileged girls worldwide by providing them with sustainable menstrual cups and comprehensive education on sexuality and reproductive rights. As of to date, Monki has donated a total of 13,537 menstrual cups to The Cup Foundation, through its partnership with Lunette, a menstrual cup company.
The donation was made via the sale of Monki x Lunette menstrual cup – a reusable medical silicone cup, which lasts up to 10 years before it can be dispose of by burning, toxic emission-free. For every Monki x Lunette menstrual cup sold, one cup is donated to the The Cup Foundation.
Monki x Lunette menstrual cup is available on monki.com. Find out more about Monki x Lunette x The Cup at monki.com/we-are-monki/monki-thinks/monki-x-lunette-x-the-cup.
