Whitening, which is able to deliver up to 8 shades of whitening in just 45 minutes using an advanced LED light-activation technology. The procedure removes the stains on the surface of the teeth through chemical reacts without abrading the enamel.
Philips Zoom! Whitening offers a comprehensive portfolio of professional teeth whitening products to renew healthy and white smiles. It contains ferrous gluconate which acts as a photo catalyst when applied onto the surface of the teeth. The gel reacts when exposed to LED light through the Philips Zoom! Whitespeed light technology, to break down the particles in the yellow or brown stains and transform the whiteness of the teeth in just 45 minutes.
The Philips Zoom! Whitening process comes in four (4) stages – where each stage takes approx. 15 minutes and is repeated in three (3) cycles. The Philips Zoom! Whitening gel will be reapplied in between each cycle.
Stage 1:
The Philips Zoom! Whitening gel is applied onto the surface of the teeth;
Stage 2:
The chemical reaction takes place whereby peroxide – the yellow or brown staining on teeth – reacts with the ferrous gluconate in the gel to produce radicals;
Stage 3:
The Philips Zoom! Whitening gel reacts immediately with the LED light through a photo-denton reaction;
Stage 4:
The light cyclically renews the iron and continues to produce radicals, significantly producing whitening results over the span of the treatment.
