The 71st British Academy Film Awards, more commonly known as the BAFTAs, took place last Sunday at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Hosted by Joanna Lumley, the awards saw Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, emerged as big winner of the night with five wins including best film, best British film and best actress for Frances McDormand. Guests made a point in a sea of black in solidarity of the Time’s Up and Me Too movements. showing the continued fight against sexual harassment in workplace. 190 British and Irish actors published an open letter of intent moments prior to the ceremony, announcing a new UK Justice and Equality Fund for the same purpose.
