She’s a social media trend and slowly gaining momentum as one of the powerhouse names. Being one of the most searched for names, you have to wonder, what’s going on and why is she such a big deal?
Cara Jocelyn Delevingne is an English fashion model and actress. At just the tender age of 23, she sure is set for big things coming her way – some of you may not know her (yet), and some of you would be followers! Either way, here are a few times the world loved her and she became an internet trend.
1. She’s dating St Vincent
The two have been together for over a year and just recently were spotted spending Christmas together with Cara’s family.
It’s refreshing to see how candid and honest Cara is about her love life. She has been romantically linked to Harry Styles and Michelle Rodriguez but has been with St Vincent (Annie Clark) since December 2014.
“Loyalty is one of the most important things to me in the world. Once I care about someone, I’ll jump in front of a car for them. I’m a real ‘ride or die’ kind of gal. It’s all about trust and loyalty.I can’t date someone who’s like me,’ she explained. ‘Because we’d probably end up killing each other. I need someone who can plan things.”
There were a few rumours that the two had split but the duo have made very public appearances together – dispelling any rumours that their relationships was on the rocks.
2. Her acting debut in Anna Karenina in 2012
We didn’t know she was first spotted in the big screen in this film – did you? She opens up about how scary it was to do the intimate scenes but she had a pretty great mentor to help her through that – Keira Knightley.
“I was actually really nervous about the sex scenes, the intimate ones. But Keira had her own in this film and had done it all before. She just told me to lose myself in it. Forget about me and be the character. I really took that on board.”
3. She sings with Pharell Williams in a live duet
She’s not only a model and an actress, but she’s hoping to launch her singing career too. She took a big step towards making them a reality as she and the producer sang CC the World back in April, 2015.
And of course she can sing! She shows off her impressive vocals with Pharell (the producer).

4. Her net worth is estimated at $6million
Delevingne has also worked in the catwalk with high-profile designers and famous fashion houses including Stella McCartney, Dolce & Gabbana, Oscar de la Renta, Burberry, Jason Wu, Moschino, Schiatzi Zhen, Victoria’s Secret and Fendi. She also did the covers for magazines like Vogue UKand Vogue Korea as well as i-D, Love, Russh, Jalouse and the Spring 2013 issue of Style.com.
Cara Delevingne is currently the face of branch such as DKNY, Chanel Resort and Burberry Beauty. She won the Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2012.
5. She boldly poses with the Mona Lisa, sans make-up
Her fresh faced beauty gets photobombed by none other than the iconic Mona Lisa. She had a series of photos where she coyly flirts with Mona Lisa and asks her on a date. Not afraid to be herself – this girl is just being her and it’s great!
6. THAT awkward interview
Cara appeared on a US morning show titled ‘Good Day Sacramento’ to promote one of her movies Paper Towns. It caused a bit of stir because the hosts didn’t quite get her british humour and sarcasm and instead mistook her for being seemingly “irritated”.
We think she handled this interview pretty well and actually feel that the hosts maybe need to do a better job at handling their guests!
