British actor Clive Owen, a Jaeger-LeCoultre friend of the brand, has joined Meryl Streep, Jury President, on the international jury of the Berlin Film Festival to decide who will receive the famous Golden Bear and Silver Bears of the 2016 Berlinale Competition. Clive Owen was seen wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master UT Tourbillon at the opening ceremony of the Berlin Film Festival.
Clive Owen is part of the jury alongside Italian actress Alba Rohrwacher, Polish director Malgorzata Szumowska, French photographer Brigitte Lacombe, British film critic Nick James and stage actor Lars Eidinger.
Each year the Berlinale comprises about 400 films of every genre, length and format. The Competition has been the heart of the Berlinale since 1951. For over 60 years it has been setting trends for new cinema, screening new productions from across the globe. 18 of the 23 films in the Competition programme will be vying for the Golden and Silver Bears and the Award Ceremony will take place at the Berlinale Palast on Saturday, February 20.
