Celebrity supermodel Gigi Hadid has dropped out of an upcoming Victoria’s Secret fashion show in China.
The 22-year-old model took to Twitter to announce that she would not be attending this year’s VS Fashion Show.
I’m so bummed I won’t be able to make it to China this year. Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!! Can't wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be, and already can't wait for next year! 🙂 x

“Love my VS family and will be with all my girls in spirit!! Can’t wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be and already can’t wait for next year!”
This news comes as a surprise to fans of Gigi, who had previously confirmed to be at this year’s show.
She did not give a reason for pulling out of the event. But reports have been circulating that Gigi and a group of other models were not able to get their Chinese visas approved.
According to Fashionista, Julia Belyakova, Kate Grigorieva and Irina Sharipova from Russia, as well as Dasha Khlystun from Ukraine, have reportedly been denied the requisite Chinese visas.
Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, Karlie Kloss, Martha Hunt and more models walking in the show this year are currently on their way to Shanghai. It appears that Gigi’s 19-year-old sister, fellow model Bella Hadid, will still take part. Bella Hadid is still walking in the show, she posted on Instagram Wednesday saying she is “so excited.”
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air on Nov. 28 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
