What a great time it is to be a wrestling fan!

NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II was aired this past Sunday at the WWE Network (Astro Channel 940). The event was led by broadcast team of Tom Phillips and Corey Graves. It was confirmed that the show was sold out with more than 15,000 attendances.

The most talked about story coming off this event is Shinsuke Nakamura defeating Samoa Joe in 20 minutes, after one of the jaw-dropping entrances in WWE history. Asuka defeated Bayley to retain her NXT Women’s Championship to put an end to their long rivalry. Bobby Roode made his glorious debut at NXT Takeover, defeating NXT’s own Andrade Almas.

If NXT Take Over taught us anything is that there is no doubt that Nakamura is now the vocal point of NXT. He is one of those stars that can make the entire show special, which can be compared to Superstars like Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. His championship win did not elevate his stardom, if anything Nakamura brought more legitimacy to the NXT championship. Nakamura delivered an amazing five star match for the NXT Universe.

Few episodes before the NXT TakeOver show, it was apparent that Billie Kay is going to be the next breakout star in the women’s division. This is because she keeps winning matches after matches which looks like she is about to set herself up against the current Champion Asuka. However, her momentum was arguably hindered by Ember Moon in a match that was less than 5 minutes.

Asuka vs Bayley is yet another outstanding match that stole the show. However, lightning would not strike twice for Bayley as she failed to capture the NXT Women’s Championship from Asuka.

There are also other matches such as Tye Dillinger vs Wesley Blake, The Revival vs Johnny Gargano and Tommmaso Ciampa. Those matches were great by themselves; however they did not quiet stole the show or get me talking after the show like these 3 matches did.

Overall, NXT Take Over Brooklyn was an amazing show which utilized in-ring psychology, creative storylines, and strong characters which resulted in an exceptionally strong match card making everyone in the event seemed important.
