COS continues its commitment to art, design and creativity in the brand’s fifth consecutive year supporting the Serpentine Galleries’ public performance series, Park Nights, this summer. Park Nights hosts a special selection of live performances by compelling multidisciplinary artists invited from across art, architecture, music, film, philosophy and technology to craft new, live works to be staged within the Serpentine Pavilion.

Serpentine Pavilion 2017 (1)

For 2017, the Serpentine Pavilion will be designed by award-winning Burkinabé architect Francis Kéré and his Berlin based studio Kéré Architecture. The Pavilion will be designed to prioritise the movement of people and the gathering of communities to engender a sense of togetherness and connection to nature.

There will be eight Park Nights for the 2017 season, taking place on selected Friday nights throughout the summer. The programme opens on 30 June with the US cinematographer and artist Arthur Jafa, who will also be making his UK debut with the exhibition A Series of Utterly Improbable, Yet Extraordinary Renditions at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery from 8 June to 10 September. Other confirmed Park Nights artists include Tamara Henderson, Eleanor Antin, Joseph Grigley, and Bouchra Ouizguen & company (as part of Shubbak Festival), with further names to be announced in June.
