Innisfree Malaysia brought their Inni-Friends to ‘Make A Knot’ last Saturday for the very first Tree Planting Project 2017 at Raja Musa Forest Reserve, Kuala Selangor.
Innisfree Malaysia’s Tree Planting Project 2017 aims to restore peatland forests by working with experts such as the GEC and the Hulu Selangor Forestry Department. Did you know that Raja Musa Forest Reserve is one of the largest peatland forests in Selangor where it’s even bigger than Singapore! Peatland or peat swamp forests grow on top of many layers of partially decomposed matter and its roots help to stop soil erosion which prevents Carbon Dioxide to be released into the air.
Tree planting is not as easy as it seems as the tree saplings need some TLC during the planting process in order for it to grow strong.
Together, Innisfree and Inni-Friends managed to plant 300 trees!
We hope the trees will grow strong and tall next year!
