2017 has been a marvelous year for Adwoa Aboah. Aside from taking home Model of The Year 2017 award and gracing the cover of numerous notable titles such as British Vogue and Vogue Italia, the 25-year-old model and activist has linked up with photographer Juergen Teller on a series of images for Burberry 2018 campaign.
Slated to launch in full starting December 26th, the first portfolio of imagery sees Adwoa and Juergen partnering on the direction of the campaign including cast selection, location and aesthetic. Commissioned by President and Chief Creative Officer of Burberry Christopher Bailey, this is the first time Adwoa and Juergen has ever worked together with the British fashion house.
Photographed in a casual setting in North London, Adwoa can be seen chilling with her family and friends including her cousins Alfie Husband, George Husband, Richard Theodore-Aboah, Kwame N’Dow as well as Montell Martin and Mae Muller in the label’s latest collection debuting in January and February 2018. The campaign features rescaled pieces with hints of neon across laminated trench coats, frame bag, mini crossbody and The Giant tote bag.
“It has been a huge honour for me to work with Burberry and Juergen Teller on this inspiring project. My role as both model and artistic director is one I have really enjoyed and embraced. Christopher Bailey is an incredible visionary and it has been an amazing experience to work together with him and Juergen to create this series of stories,” said Adwoa Aboah.
The ready-to-wear and accesorries are available for purchase on Burberry.com from December 26th onwards. Adwoa Aboah and Juergen Teller’s second portfolio for Burberry will launch in February 2018.
