The highly anticipated first fragrance for Alexander McQueen under the directorship of Creative Director Sarah Burton will soon be available in the market.
Dubbed McQueen Parfum and McQueen Eau de Parfum, both fragrances are traditional and beautifully modern. Inspired by haute parfumerie, McQueen combines the highest level of perfume-making artistry with innovative, unique and contemporary design, to make a timeless construction, a traditional floral Parfum drawn from night flowers, yet imbued with mystery, the passionate originality of the house.
Burton describes, “I wanted these fragrances to come from night flowers, the kind that exude an eternal freshness once the day is gone.” She continues, “To make up for their lack of colour, the scent of the Sambac Jasmine, Tuberose and Ylang Ylang are most powerful at night to attract their pollinator. People forget that these flowers become newly modern every day; that even as they’ve faded, they soon regenerate and flower, shaping the air with their scent.”
McQueen Parfum and McQueen Eau de Parfum are vintage in spirit with notes of Sambac Jasmine, Tuberose and Ylang Ylang. A fresh and vital interpretation of tradition is established by combining them with pink pepper and vetiver derived using state of the art CO2 extraction techniques.
McQueen Parfum’s classy black bottle completes with the polished facetted cap that also includes a wreath of gold feathers area around the crown, demonstrating the symmetry and luxury design and portrays McQueen. On the other hand, the Eau de Parfum is a reverse of the alluring dark Parum, with a clear bottle and filled with a pale pink liquor.
McQueen Parfum and McQueen Eau de Parfum will be available this December 2016 at Parkson Pavilion. The McQueen Parfum costs RM 1,499 for 50 ml. Prices for McQueen EDP start at RM 310 for 30 ml, RM 415 for 50ml, and RM 560 for 75ml.
