Malaysian fashion designer, Bernard Chandran has recently unveiled his latest Spring/Summer 2016 (S/S2016) Collection at Paris Fashion Week. The S/S2016 collection embodies the ‘Active Intellectual’ – for the woman that exist through spontaneity with a deconstructive nature.
As Chandran is best known for his modern technique of embellishment, he has managed yet again to deliver a three-dimensional form of prêt-couture. A palette of modern neutrals – beiges, peach, pale blue and yellow, all sit next to hot metallics finished with extreme sport trimmings . The silhouettes reflect a more active approach to prêt-couture, all demonstrating a contemporary athletic collection with a luxurious, sensual refinement – fusing silk chiffon, metallic leather, silk organza, lurex and cottons to develop a light fluidity for the hot summer months.
