Delvaux, the world’s oldest luxury leather goods house, recently unveiled its “Savoirs & Savoir-Faire” exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, offering an exclusive glimpse into the brand’s rich heritage and exceptional craftsmanship.
The exhibition, hosted at The RuMa Hotel, transported guests to the heart of Delvaux’s atelier in Brussels. A stunning replica of the Arsenal workshop, complete with intricate leather weaving demonstrations, showcased the brand’s commitment to artisanal excellence.
The centrepiece of the exhibition was the debut of the Airess, a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Avia Airess suitcase. This trapezoidal shopping bag, crafted from supple Taurillon leather, embodies Delvaux’s signature blend of design and functionality.
To commemorate the launch of the Airess, Delvaux introduced the charming Delvaux Café, offering a taste of Belgian elegance amidst the bustling city. The café, inspired by the brand’s Brussels flagship, added a touch of Parisian chic to the experience.
The exhibition culminated with a display of the Caprice handbag, a testament to Delvaux’s mastery of design and craftsmanship. Six limited-edition Caprice styles, each adorned with unique materials like malachite, wood, and metal, showcased the brand’s unwavering commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
Delvaux’s “Savoirs & Savoir-Faire” exhibition marked a significant milestone for the brand in Malaysia, celebrating one year since its arrival in the country. This event not only honours Delvaux’s rich history but also reinforces its commitment to excellence, innovation, and the celebration of Belgian cultural heritage. Among the VIP and KOL guests who attended the exhibition were the Ambassador of Belgium to Malaysia, Peter Van Acker, as well as prominent personalities such as Christinna Kuan, Neelofa, Siti Saleha, May Ho, and many more.
