The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards hosted by Stephen Colbert sees some of the biggest names in silver screen and television shared the spotlight where “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “Big Little Lies” brought home multiple television’s top awards of the night.
“Veep” won Outstanding Comedy Series for the third year in a row and the star, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, was named best actress in a comedy for the sixth consecutive year. Donald Glover of “Atlanta” won his first Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, making him the first black director to ever win the category.
