For all fans of Japanese denim purveyor EVISU, you can glam up your summer style with the brand’s Eyewear Spring/Summer 2016 Collection which will be landing on Malaysian shores from May 2016.
Founded by jeans connoisseur Hidehiko Yamane in 1991, EVISU has come a long way from the days of Yamana-san individually hand-painting the limited production of 14 jeans a day, and will be ushering its 25th anniversary in November this year. This Osaka brand is lusted after by its fans for its denims that straddle the worlds between trendy and traditional, authentic and fun.
EVISU Eye SS2016 Collection had echoed the same design philosophy as its denims, where the collection combined the modern style design and fun elements with Japanese artisan craftsmanship.
EVISU harnesses their garment expertise on this SS2016 eyewear collection by 3D printing the brand’s trademark emblem, the seagull logo, onto the denim-textured temples of the acetate frames. These handmade frames run the whole gamut of sumptuous shades – whether in metal, acetate, or baked enamel – evoking Evisu’s penchant for craftsmanship, style, and fun.
Bold, dark, frames with colored lenses of blue and gold stand out from the pack as leaders in the mod squad, while the acetate half-frame reading glasses makes a strong case for chic, but the highlight of the collection is undoubtedly the one-piece lens sunglasses.
Created from a singular piece of mirror-coated lens, the retro-inspired shape is all at once
