There are fashion shows and signature fashion weeks happening throughout the different seasons, but we’re compiling trends from all around the world that are both wearable and hot, right now.
It’s one thing to see a style on the runway, but it’s also an art to wear this look for everyday fashion.
Here are 10 ways to be on trend this year in 2016
1. Show off those shoulders. You would have seem the dramatic off-the-shoulder knits and blouses and that’s still very much in trend. The cut-outs are made to accentuate that part of your body and it doesn’t look like this trend if going anywhere, for now.
2. White button shirts. Borrow your boyfriends or husbands, or just buy an oversized white button shirt and mix it up with a feminine piece in your wardrobe. It doesn’t have to be a boring shirt, look for ones that have a little more detail or a bit of an edge to it.
3. Sexy lingerie. It’s almost as if you’re wearing lingerie by day, and in some runways this is exactly what they wore. I prefer a toned down version, where sexy lace and soft materials closely resembles lingerie but isn’t quite. Though if you see people sporting their sexy lingerie during the day, don’t be alarmed, it’s actually a fashion trend.
4. Pleats. This is one style that seems to come back into trend, no it isn’t just for high-school uniforms or tennis players, pleats can offer plenty of sculpture and clean lines in your overall look.
5. Ruffles. Beautiful ruffles are on trend, and adds a very feminine look to your attire. But it can also appear to be very futuristic as Chanel has shown in the dress below.
6. Shimmer your way through 2016. Forget about waiting for the holiday seasons, shimmer is a great look for any time of the year.
7. Stripes.
8. Wrap skirts. The wrap is a style that looks good on just about anybody, and it’s sexy without being overly revealing.
9. Florals. Think oversized!
10. Tie your waist. Pants and skirts that sit above your waist and are tied around your waist for that added effect.
