Get ready to look up—way up—as the Hermès Kite Festival floats into Sentul Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur this May! For two days on 17 & 18 May 2025, the sky will come alive with colour, creativity, and the whimsical flight of silk scarves turned kites.
First launched in Indonesia in 2022, this joyful celebration of craftsmanship and lightness now takes wing in Malaysia for the very first time. With the theme “Silk Takes Flight”, Hermès invites you to a unique experience where fashion literally soars.
What to Expect:
Kites Made from Hermès Scarves
Iconic Hermès silk scarf designs—Plumets et Panaches, Robe Légère, and Sur Mon Nuage—transform into technical fabric kites that drift, dance, and dart through the Malaysian sky. Even bandanas, shawls, and losanges join the aerial spectacle, turning sky-gazing into an art form.
Kite-Making Workshops
Channel your inner kite artist! Join a hands-on workshop to design and build your own kite using Hermès-printed technical fabric. Whether solo or with friends, in under an hour, you’ll craft your very own flying masterpiece.
Flying School & Kite Contest
New to kite flying? No problem. Learn to launch, land, and race your handmade kite at the Flying School. Then, test your skills in a friendly kite race—where elegance meets the wind.
Aerial Choreographies
Prepare to be mesmerised by professional kite flyers performing synchronised aerial ballets—floating silk in motion like you’ve never seen before.
Admission is Free – All Are Welcome
With free entry from 10AM to 8PM daily, it is a perfect weekend outing for families, couples, creatives, and anyone in love with beautiful things that take to the sky.
Spots for workshops and kite contests are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
