This year, H&M marks 10 years in Malaysia since its first flagship store opening at Lot 10, KL in 2012. Today, the brand boasts 41 stores throughout Malaysia, bringing its world of fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way to everyone.
Anchored around an anniversary celebration theme of “We’re A 10”, H&M Malaysia has lined up a series of exciting activities and treats for Malaysians. In celebration of this milestone, H&M Malaysia is bringing together local creatives to showcase Malaysian artists and craftsmen, to democratise local artistry. Starting from 19 September, selected stores in Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Johor, Penang and Sarawak will receive an injection of unique art installations and activations in conjunction with Malaysian-based artists.
Kuala Lumpur-based authority on the art of tufting, Tuftme will take over the main display window of these stores setting up a must-see tufting installation. These installations symbolises a sense of wonder and unlimited imagination inspired by how H&M constantly stimulates the freedom of style and creativity with accessible fashion. Striking mix of colours set in multi-level dimensions, these windows are definitely best for photos!
Exclusively for the H&M flagship store at Lot 10 where the brand set it roots in Malaysia, a special art installation by local multidisciplinary artist Stellar Studio is erected at the entrance facing the now-iconic Bukit Bintang crossing. The installation features colours of the Malaysian flag which represents the infinite possibilities to come.
H&M Members get a special treat during the anniversary celebrations as well. Complementary prints of three exclusive 10th anniversary graphics by Well-known illustrator bungadanbintang (Seremban-based Kirin Sharom), will be offered to all shoppers from 22 to 25 September as long as they show their H&M Member profiles via the H&M app.
Don’t miss to challenge your selfie (or even wefie) skills by fitting into the mould in your most creative way at the photobooths set-up by H&M in their five stores at Lot 10, Avenue K, Gurney Paragon Mall Penang, Hatten Square Melaka, The Spring Kuching and Aeon Mall Tebrau. The five most creative pictures posted on social media using the hashtag #HMMalaysia10 will win RM500 worth of gift cards each.
