Malaysia’s leading modest sportswear company Innersejuk, launches the Dignity Collection, a collaboration with Malaysian Social Research Institute (MSRI) in support of the refugee community in Malaysia, supported by Unhcr And Say under the Royal Patronage of His Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj Raja Muda Of Selangor.
The collection consists of a series of specially designed scarves by Zahra Rezaie and Zahra Karimi, who are young refugees from Afghanistan. These talented individuals who have been in Malaysia for many years spent the last few months as apprentices with Innersejuk, under the Project Dignity banner. During this time, they have learned a variety of skills which include commercial design and scarf production.
The highlight of the programme was for each of them to create commercially viable designs for scarves that can be used as hijabs. The result is the creation of the Dignity Collection. The collection is available for sale starting today at www.innersejuk.com. 100% of the profits from the Dignity Collection will be returned to the refugee community that MSRI is serving to fund their education, development, and welfare.
