Jaeger-LeCoultre’s iconic Reverso takes center stage again, this time adorned with vibrant tropical flowers in a stunning new limited edition series. The Reverso One “Precious Flowers” collection celebrates the Art Deco spirit and the artistry of the Métiers Rares™ atelier.
This year, three new designs join the collection, each a masterpiece in its own right. Inspired by Tropical Art Deco, these limited-edition timepieces (10 pieces each) showcase the Reverso’s blank case-back as a canvas for artistic expression.
The magic lies in the intricate dance between enamelling and gem-setting. Skilled artisans meticulously handcraft each piece, taking weeks and months to complete. The process involves:
- Champlevé enamelling: Tiny sections of gold are removed to create a design. Enamel pigments are then applied layer by layer for vibrant colors.
- Paillonnage: 24-carat gold leaf is cut into precise shapes and meticulously placed for added texture and brilliance.
- Gem-setting: Diamonds are set with exceptional precision, creating a seamless sparkle.
The three designs capture the essence of the tropics:
Birds of Paradise
(Total Métiers Rares™ work: 125 hours)
This design features the vibrant flower in stunning detail, with snow-set diamonds forming a sparkling backdrop.
Hibiscus Enamel
(Total decorative craft work: 72 hours)
This masterpiece showcases the hibiscus flower in a sun-kissed lagoon scene, where Grand Feu enamel creates both the background and the delicate details.
Hibiscus Diamonds
(Total Métiers Rares™ craftsmanship: 150 hours)
This dazzling design features blue hibiscus flowers in Grand Feu champlevé enamel, accentuated by gold leaf and a snow-set diamond background.
Each “Precious Flowers” Reverso is a testament to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s mastery of both watchmaking and artistic craftsmanship. These limited-edition pieces are not just timepieces, they are wearable works of art, each a testament to the skill and passion of the artisans who created them.
