James Bay Teams Up With Topman For A Capsule Collection Fit For A Rock Star

It’s a good day for James Bay fans. The British singer-songwriter will be releasing a capsule collection in collaboration with high-street brand Topman. The 13-piece collection was first announced in a video on Topman’s YouTube channel where Bay talked about his music and inspirations behind the line.

“It’s been a lot of fun teaming up with Topman to design my own collection. I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from performing live and the way I dress on tour. Many of the details I’ve focused on are also based on my own, original drawings and sketches,” said Bay.

One of the pieces, a sequinned bomber jacket, reflects the influence of ’70s glam rock where music legends like Rolling Stones and David Bowie ruled the scene – a world which James is deeply obsessed with. James also integrates lyrics from his own songs such as Incomplete and his own illustrations into the collection, giving more of a personal touch with a universal message relatable to everyone.

The rest of the line consists of embroidered denim trucker jacket, psychedelic print shirt, suede and leather moto jackets, stovepipe jeans and two-piece jacquard suit to feed your inner rock star. Subtle details like heart on a sleeve and fingers intertwined add a sentimental finish to the muted capsule wardrobe.
