Kate Spade New York celebrated the grand opening of the new Suria KLCC store last Wednesday night with more than 100 distinguished guests attending the opening event, from international celebrities to local personalities and influencers, including South Korean actress Oh Yeon Seo and Malaysian Actress Scha Alyahya.
Located on the Ground Floor in Suria KLCC alongside key luxury fashion brands, and in line with the brand’s new vision of optimistic femininity, the 1,550 square-feet store was designed under the artistic direction of Creative Director Nicola Glass, reflecting Glass’ unique evolution of the brand’s original house codes — thoughtful design, modern color, the spade — throughout. Inside, the store interior is marked by the new sophisticated palette of pink, rose gold and deep green; with softly curved fixtures, pedestals and mannequin displays to reinforce the modern femininity at the heart of the brand.
The store features the kate spade new york ready-to-wear collection, as well as an assortment of handbags, accessories, small leather goods, tech accessories, jewelry and watches. Starting in May, customers will have the opportunity to personalize select kate spade new york product including small leather goods and the signature leather unlock bracelet with the new embossing machine.
During the opening, the brand held an exclusive preview of the Summer Collection at a private sit-down dinner. A line-up of chic models showcasing the new collection was accompanied by a medley of modern hits performed by Malaysian singer-songwriter, Bil Musa. The new collection ushers in a fresh and eclectic approach to color across all categories, with new takes on colorblocking and new summer inspired prints.
