Malaysian high-street fashion brand MagLifestyle, helmed by designer sisters Yen and Shirley, made a captivating statement at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) 2024. They unveiled not one, but two collections: a vibrant capsule collection co-created with Laurier, and their breathtaking Spring/Summer 2025 collection, “The Aurora”.
Laurier x MagLifestyle Capsule Collection
MagLifestyle kicked off their KLFW runway show with a high-energy capsule collection in collaboration with Laurier. Featuring Laurier ambassadors Ms. Kuan and Sofea Shra, the collection bursts with a youthful and energetic spirit. A vibrant green takes center stage, accented by playful touches of pink, making a statement for the modern woman on the go.
The Aurora: Spring/Summer 2025 Collection
The main event was undoubtedly MagLifestyle’s “The Aurora” collection, inspired by the mesmerising phenomenon of the blood aurora. Fiery red accents throughout the collection symbolise the passion and strength of modern women.
A standout piece was a captivating earth-tone midi knit dress. Hand-stitched mesh waves adorned with red sequins embodied the collection’s theme, while flowing, ruffled chiffon dresses in various silhouettes offered a versatile and elegant option for everyday wear.
With “The Aurora,” MagLifestyle boldly ventured into new territory by incorporating ruffled tulle into their menswear pieces. This innovative approach blurred the lines of traditional gender aesthetics, creating a gender-fluid collection that celebrates individuality with the concept of “human wear”.
MagLifestyle’s signature flair for dazzling embellishments remained prominent. Black dresses, jackets, and pants were transformed with glittering sequins, diamante fringing, and exquisitely crafted 3D appliques featuring ostrich and bird feathers.
