On February 28th, 2024, Louis Vuitton unveiled a groundbreaking concept in Bangkok: LV The Place Bangkok. This innovative space, located at Gaysorn Amarin, transcends the traditional retail experience, offering a 360-degree immersion into the world of Louis Vuitton, encompassing art, fashion, food, and culture.
Spread across two floors, LV The Place Bangkok features a captivating blend of retail, dining, and cultural exploration. Visitors are greeted by a striking façade, adorned with glowing diamond shapes, setting the tone for an immersive experience.
On the ground floor, guests embark on “Visionary Journeys“, a captivating exhibition showcasing Louis Vuitton’s rich history and heritage. This scenographic experience, designed by OMA and Partner Shohei Shigematsu, takes visitors on a journey through thematic rooms, each exploring a different facet of the Maison’s legacy, from craftsmanship and innovation to travel and creativity.
Le Café Louis Vuitton, also located on the ground floor, offers a delightful culinary experience. The cafe’s lush ambiance, featuring botanical elements and iconic Louis Vuitton design details, provides the perfect setting to indulge in delectable pastries, cakes, and desserts, each with a signature Louis Vuitton touch.
The upper level houses the Louis Vuitton store, an elegant space showcasing both men’s and women’s collections. The store features exclusive products, including the worldwide-exclusive Alma Nano Rainbow bag and the LV Trainer Upcycling sneakers, alongside meticulously curated collections and personalized hot stamping options.
Rounding out the experience is “Gaggan at Louis Vuitton“, the Maison’s first restaurant in South Asia, helmed by the celebrated Indian chef Gaggan Anand. This fine-dining restaurant offers a unique “food journey” based on the five “S” – Sweet, Sour, Salty, Spicy, and Surprise. The menu, featuring innovative dishes inspired by Thai cuisine, is sure to tantalize the taste buds.
LV The Place Bangkok is a vibrant tapestry of local and international influences, reflecting the dynamism of Bangkok itself. The incorporation of artworks by local and international artists further underscores this commitment to cross-cultural dialogue.
This innovative 360-degree concept redefines the retail experience, bringing together various facets of the Louis Vuitton universe in a single space.
