When we saw this secret collab between Louis Vuitton and Jeff Koons called ‘Masters’ on Instagram, we were intrigued and it wasn’t because of Mona Lisa’s wink.
The Masters Louis Vuitton X Jeff Koons collaboration remixes the iconic artworks of the old masters and presents them in a way that encourages new interpretations. The 51-piece collection takes inspiration from Jeff Koons’s “Gazing Ball” series of paintings from 2015, the collection comprises five of the most famous paintings in history, including the “Mona Lisa,” Van Gogh’s “Wheat Field With Cypresses” and Rubens’s “The Tiger Hunt,” on some of Louis Vuitton’s most classic leather bags, scarves, and other accessories.
Each bag is adorned with highly reflective gold or silver letters spelling the artist’s name on the outside, in Koon’s words, “Having the names of the artists in reflective type is in a way performing a function like the gazing ball in ‘Gazing Ball Paintings‘… There’s also a reflective process about the person being interlinked with the bag.”
Here are our top 5 picks from each artist from the Masters Louis Vuitton X Jeff Koons collection. View the collection here.

Jeff Koons is one of the most widely recognised figures working in contemporary art. One of his most famous works, a blow-up toy rabbit, which appeared in one of his earliest pieces, has become a signature motif, and has been immortalised as the 40-inch stainless steel sculpture Rabbit (1986).
You can find his signature rabbit motif on the bags, purses and bag charms. Pick between the golden brass finished metal or palladium brass finished metal, this calf leather bag charm will spice up any Louis Vuitton bag.
