You can say Melania Trump’s story is similar to Cinderella’s. She was born in Novo Mesto in southeastern Slovenia and came to America for a better life. Standing at 5’11”, she began with modeling and not long after she has caught the eyes of Donald Trump, America’s newly elected president. The rest you can say it’s history.
Now she has become the First Lady, we wonder how she’ll fare fashion-wise compared to former First Lady, Michelle Obama. But so far, she’s been nailing it throughout the election period despite her infamous speeches and minor wardrobe malfunctions. Here are Melania’s best fashion moments.
Who could forget the white bell sleeves gown from Roksanda which she wore during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio? Word got out that she purchased the $2,190 dress from Net-a-Porter and in an instant, it was sold out.
Back in March, she went for a jewel-toned blue figure-hugging dress that matches her husband’s tie while carrying a similar shade Bottega Veneta clutch.
At one of Donald’s presidential campaigns, she was a lady in red while wearing her coat ala fashion influencer style.
During the CNBC Republican Presidential Debate, she paired a sleek jumpsuit with a trench and Chanel purse in pastel pink for a demure look.
On election night, she went for a more glam approach with a one shoulder Ralph Lauren jumpsuit with an asymmetric front, totally apt for the occasion.
If you notice, there seems to be a pattern to her outfits. When she’s not wearing pastels, she’ll be in red, blue and white, maybe to resemble the flag of USA? We’re curious to see how her style will evolve in the coming years as a First Lady.
