MODA (Malaysian Official Designers Association) was celebrating its 25th Anniversary with theme “Celebrates Innovation” on last Thursday evening, September 3 at Publika Boulevard.
The Anniversary gala gathered all the super talented and gifted Malaysian Fashion Designers under one roof with their most outstanding creations featured in the most spectacular show. The party was attended by over 800 guests including fashion designers, models, celebrities, media and many more. Most of the guests dressed up glamorously to fit in with the dress code theme “Absolutely Fabulous with a Tinge of Silver“.

The Anniversary gala kicked off having a stunning opening by emcee, the forever fabulous Edwin Sumun and followed by inspirational remarks from the President of MODA, Ms Gillian Hung, who is also popularly known as “Mama G”.
The night showcased the most innovative creation from twelve (12) Samsung Innovative Award winners and as well as eight (8) up and coming young designers namely Ardana Haran, Ellie Lim, Hanif Naim, Shanti Raiya by Hyacinthe Kaur, Lolopeh, Michelle Soong, Nigel Chia and Nizam Zamil.
And of course, the highlight of the night would be the featuring of our thirty-six (36) prominent local designers namely Alvin Tay, Alexandrea Yeo, Amir Luqman, Andrew Gan, Ashley @ Kapas, Beatrice Looi, Bill Keith, Carven Ong, Celest Thoi, Dominique Chan, Eclipse by Sonny San, Eric Choong, Fairuz Ramdan, Hattan Dolmat, Jimmy Lim, Jonathan Cheng, Justin Yap, Karl Ng, Keith Kee, Key Ng, Khooi Hooi, Michael Ong, Meesha Sukira by Michelle Lau, Melinda Looi, Melvin Shah, Murita Harith, Orson Liyu, Radioactive by Peter Lim, Rhea Benson, Syomir Izwa, Variante by leslie Variyan, Venie Tee, Victor Khoo, William Liew, Zery Zamry and Zang Toi.
