Hold on tight, as H&M announce their next designer collaboration with the legendary French fashion house, Mugler. Mugler has always been all-inclusive, welcoming everyone regardless of their unique characteristics and beauty standards. And now, with this collaboration, Mugler is breaking all the boundaries and going even further.
H&M and Mugler’s collaboration is a celebration of beauty in all its forms. It is an invitation to break free from the shackles of conventional fashion and embrace your unique style like never before. A stunning collection by Mugler’s creative genius, Casey Cadwallader, featuring not just women’s wear but also men’s wear and accessories.
The collection features Mugler’s iconic silhouette, emphasising strong shoulders, a tight waist, and flattering curves. In addition to contemporary designs, the collection includes limited-edition archive pieces that pay tribute to Mugler’s prominent role in the 80s and 90s fashion industry. Each piece in the collection represents a moment in fashion history and allows fans to own a part of the brand’s legacy. The collection includes both men’s and women’s wear and features fluid cross-gender styling that has always been central to the Mugler ethos. Overall, the collection is a celebration of confidence and pays homage to the brand’s influential past while embracing contemporary design elements.
To encapsulate the collection’s spirit, and to celebrate Mugler’s long association with music, performance, theatricality and subculture, Mugler and H&M release a music video featuring a group of rising stars. Amaarae, Shygirl, Eartheater, and Arca have come together to create their own version of Stardust’s 1998 dance hit “Music Sounds Better With You,” in honour of the Mugler x H&M collection. This song choice represents the sense of community that defines Mugler’s current vision under Cadwallader’s leadership.
Last week on 19 April, at the Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan, NYC, H&M and Mugler celebrated the forthcoming launch of their much-anticipated collection with a cultural moment encompassing entertainment, music, performance and fashion. The event was attended by numerous members of the Mugler community – including Pamela Anderson, Charli XCX, Chloë Sevigny, Lourdes Leon and Dominique Jackson – who all wore pieces from the Mugler H&M collection.
The collection will be available in select stores and online on 11 May 2023. Get ready to witness the fusion of two incredible brands and dive into the world of Mugler and H&M.
