New Balance has recently unveiled Uni-ssentials, a new line of gender neutral apparel as well as a reimagined edition of the XC-72 in three colorways. Uni-ssentials is a modern, gender-neutral approach to sportswear staples constructed from the overlapping measurements of traditional men’s and women’s sizing, with a thoughtfully constructed approach to gender neutral sizing. This newly engineered take on gender neutral sizing has built unique, numbered blocks from the intersecting points of traditional, lettered sizes, based entirely on body shape and measurements.
As sportswear basics continue to be the foundation of modern style, New Balance’s new Uni-ssentials range is a step forward for these wardrobe fixtures. The new gender-neutral XC-72, launching in tandem with the Uni-ssentials, includes three new colorways – Spring Tide and Eclipse, Black and Calm Taupe, and NB Burgundy and Wheat Field – to compliment the line of gender-neutral apparel.
Uni-ssentials has been launched globally on NewBalance.com and selected global retailers on February 1, 2022. On the local front, the Uni-ssentials apparels are available at all stores nationwide with a price range of RM149 to RM269 while the XC-72 is only available at Pavilion KL, Sunway Pyramid and Mid Valley Megamall stores, priced at RM539.
