Malaysian streetwear brand, Pestle & Mortar Clothing (PMC) has showcased its latest, and biggest collection of the year, a collaboration with famous Warner Brothers cartoon franchise, Looney Tunes, through a virtual preview event yesterday amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
This playful and nostalgic PMC x Looney Tunes collection pays homage to the iconic characters of the Looney Tunes franchise, Bugs Bunny and friends, through an exclusive 18-piece collection includes t-shirts, bowling shirts, jackets, a hoodie, headwear, a tote bag and of course, a face mask. Bugs Bunny who turns 80 this year and his friends play big role in the collection, where these famous cartoon characters of all time have been painting over the Pestle & Mortar logo with the classic Looney Tunes branding.
The collection includes a series of staple silhouettes, like bowling shirts and tees. One noteworthy piece is The Bugs Bunny Blueprint Bowling Shirt where it was designed with the idea of showcasing how the idea of Bugs Bunny came to be. This design will always remind us of how precious and iconic Bugs Bunny is.
Another highlight is The Bugs Bunny Flying Mechanic Logo Tee. As Bugs Bunny has always been a character that has something up his sleeves and he is up to his antics again. The Bugs Bunny Flying Mechanic Logo Tee was made to combine the best of both worlds and there was no better way than to have the character itself painting over our iconic Flying Mechanic logo.
To officiate the launch, Pestle & Mortar Clothing have released the official video lookbook of the collaboration on their Instagram page. Following the idea of Looney Tunes taking over Kuala Lumpur, the 90 second video tells a story of the iconic red and yellow Looney Tunes ring transporting a pair of roommates through iconic locations in the city, from KLCC to Petaling Street after the duo comes across the nostalgic Looney Tunes introduction on their television.
Slated to launch on this Oct 23rd, the PMC x Looney Tunes collection will be available online at pestlemortarclothing.com, as well as at Major Drop Sunway Pyramid and selected stockists in Swaganz Ipoh, Local Lab Penang, Topman Pavilion, Topman Sunway Pyramid, Topman Mid Valley, and Hundred% Lot 10.
