Piaget introduces an automatic movement into its iconic Limelight Gala timepieces for the first time and launches the new Limelight Gala 32mm Automatic with five stunning models, all of which feature the Maison’s manufacture self-winding 501P movement and an exhibition sapphire crystal caseback, attesting to Piaget’s incredible watchmaking knowhow.
As the icon of precious watches, Piaget’s Limelight Gala Collection is a celebration of extraordinary women the world over. The creations of Limelight Gala are inspired by the four pillars of the Maison: The Arts of Movement, Gold, Colour, and Light. The Art of Movement takes on a new significance this year as Piaget debuts a new automatic movement inside the Limelight Gala – the manufacture calibre 501P.
The first two models are adorned with gold Milanese mesh bracelets that are reminiscent of historic bracelets crafted in the 1950s. The bracelet is perfectly integrated into the case, giving the impression that it is a natural extension of the asymmetrical lugs and the case of the watch. In addition to the stunning aesthetic, Piaget’s Milanese mesh bracelets are also extremely supple and comfortable on the wrist, feeling almost like a second skin.
There are two versions – one in white gold and the other in rose gold – that come on an elegant black alligator strap. These models are also adorned with an array of brilliant-cut diamonds that accentuate the two asymmetrical lugs and make this collection and its owner truly stand out from the crowd.
A Precious snow setting
Last, but not least, the Piaget Limelight Gala 32mm Automatic is also available with a snow-set dial. The snow setting technique is particularly complex as the gem setter has to calculate the position of every single diamond, all of which differ in size. The snow-paved dial captures and reflects the light in an extraordinary way that will make the owner of this timepiece truly shine.
