This August, Pomelo has launched two brand new collections, in collaboration with two exciting renowned names – Smiley & Peanuts!
Pomelo x Smiley
Pomelo drops its third collaboration with Smiley, dubbed Smiley SO ART. This Pomelo x Smiley collection is influenced by the classic art trend and reworked into easy-to-wear silhouettes, highlighting the positive ethos of Smiley, renowned for bringing positivity and good vibes in an ever-changing world.
The collection takes inspiration from classical art, uniting it with fashion to create a visual language that pushes boundaries and influences culture. Distinguished masterpieces including Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer and The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh are featured (amongst others) in this latest drop. Worked into trendy cuts and finished with the iconic Smiley emoji to deliver fresh and modern street styles. These wearable pieces of art mimic taking a walk through the Louvre Museum in Paris where many of these world-famous works of art are kept.
This capsule collection comprises 20 pieces, of which 90% are sustainably sourced and produced. Jersey and denim feature heavily in this lineup of styles, used across a versatile range of silhouettes including t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, jeans and dresses. Key designs include the Frayed Mini Short and the Drawstring Top, cool streetwear must-haves that can be paired with any outfit.
Pomelo x Smiley is set to launch on August 11, 2021 in Malaysia. The collection will be available to purchase on the Pomelo app via iOS and Android, online at pomelofashion.com and in-stores. Prices start at RM 65.00.
Pomelo x Peanuts
Pomelo x Peanuts collection is a sophisticated and playful collection that pays homage to the iconic comic strip in a playful and modern interpretation of the beloved Peanuts gang. Just like the comic strip, the 18-piece collection presents happiness-inducing knitwear and workwear designs that combine tailored silhouettes for stylish, youthful looks with a twist. Lovable members of the Peanuts gang are strewn across a range of designs for a fun sense of style.
The lineup offers a perfect balance between a monochrome and earth tone color palette, which contrasts beautifully with recognizable Peanuts colors of red, yellow, and pastel blue. Blazers in angular and mature cuts and easy-to-match pieces such as cropped cardigans are some of the must-haves of this collection.
