Pomelo, Southeast Asia’s leading omnichannel fashion platform, expanded its omnichannel shopping experience with the opening of its first Malaysia’s retail store in 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya on May 6. The new store marks the fashion platform’s venture into the retail market in Malaysia, promising a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for fans of the brand.

Spanning over 2,250 sq. ft., Pomelo’s new store allows customers to explore over 1,600 products in-store with ease as they identify and shop their favourite collections. The store also includes a dedicated area for Tap.Try.Buy., the brand’s in-app online-to-offline shopping feature. Leverage its technological capabilities, Tap Try Buy allows users to shop from thousands of styles and brands online, try on in-store, and only pay for what they love. Shoppers in Malaysia can also experience a variety of other in-app features, including “in-store mode”, which gives customers the option to pick up and pay for their orders directly, book a fitting room through the Pomelo app, and receive updates on their queue status.
In terms of store design, the store highlights Pomelo’s sustainability efforts under the platform’s green umbrella-enterprise, “Down To Earth”. The store features interchangeable parts for easier repairs and upgrades, where 90% of the materials used in-store including wood and raw metal can be separated for recycling – in support of Pomelo’s “Reduce, reuse, recycle” goals.
The retail store will carry Pomelo’s full assortment across various product lines, featuring best-selling pieces from the brand’s New Arrivals and Spring Summer 2021, curated specially for shoppers in Malaysia. Key collections available also include Pomelo’s latest Purpose Collection, a sustainable range of stylish statement tops and ombre denim pieces made from organic cotton, water neutral denim, and recycled polyester, and exclusive collections such as the brand’s recent collaboration with Looney Tunes.
