SKECHERS, the lifestyle sports brand, releases a limited edition sneakers collection, featuring the design elements inspired by the iconic Japanese Anime characters from Sailor Moon. The iconic colors of the Sailor Guardians are re-interpreted as new design elements in this limited edition Skechers X Sailor Moon collection of both chunky and classic street sneaker silhouettes.
The Skechers X Sailor Moon collection features sneakers in two different styles – D’Lites Airy 2.0 and Skechers Street, with iconic design elements inspired by the Sailor Guardians, as well as selected Skechers X Sailor Moon apparel dedicated for both fans of the anime series as well as streetwear enthusiasts.
- D’Lites Airy 2.0 (RP: RM459)
The Skechers X Sailor Moon collection updates the existing D’Lites Airy 2.0 chunky sneaker with five new colorways, which representing the color auras of the respective Sailor Guardians:
- Skechers Street (RP: RM339)
For a classic sneaker look, the collection also includes the Skechers Street shoe which has been adapted to feature pastel colors and a ribbon bow, reminiscent of Sailor Moon’s signature hairstyle. Eagle-eyed fans will also recognise the planetary symbols of the squad, finished in gold detail on the shoe’s midsole.
- Apparel
Selected Skechers X Sailor Moon apparel such as hoodies, pullovers, and T-shirts are also available, featuring character images and text wording from the anime series. Silhouettes of characters such as Luna the black guardian cat and Usagi (Sailor Moon) can also be seen in the designs.
The Skechers X Sailor Moon Collection is now available at selected stores nationwide.
Skechers X Sailor Moon Pop-up
In conjunction with the launch of Skechers X Sailor Moon collection, a pop-up event will be run from 26th February 2020 to 1st March 2020 at LG2 Orange Avenue, Sunway Pyramid (in front of Digi). Shoppers can check out the uber-cool collection on display while enjoying other exciting activities including a live drawing session by caricature artist, and also an interactive Sailor Moon Memory Game kiosk where one lucky winner can walk home with a pair of shoes from Skechers.
Shoppers will be able to receive a collectible Skechers X Sailor Moon umbrella with every minimum purchase of RM450 inclusive of at least one Sailor Moon product while stocks last.
