Chinese actor Shawn Yue, who is also the brain behind the streetwear label MADNESS, is linking up with Timberland to launch a capsule collection that consists of 6” Gore-Tex® Fabric/Leather Boot, a Gore-Tex® Cruiser Jacket and a Down Jacket.
Remixing his personal touches to Timberland’s ever so classic Yellow Boot, Shawn reimagined it into a dark navy waterproof model that looks like boots but feels like sneakers. The 6” Gore-Tex® Fabric/Leather Boot is constructed out of mixed media of water resistant nylon and premium suede leather and further accentuated with GORE-TEX® Performance Comfort technology, enabling optimum breathability and extra comfort for outdoor use especially in extreme weather. The boots also feature the Vibram® Morflex™ wedge outsole, a lightweight durable outsole with wide grooves for self-cleaning and a large surface area for anti-slippery.
Designed to withstand the great outdoor, the outerwear for this collection weaves Timberland’s rugged flavour and MADNESS’ military-utility DNA with the best quality materials. The GORE-TEX® Cruiser Jacket is the perfect hybrid between a windbreaker and a padded jacket as evidenced in its hooded parka silhouette. It’s everything you want in a jacket – windproof, waterproof, breathable with maximum comfort. Golden brass hardware, laser-engraved buttons, camo hood lining, corduroy trims, vintage-inspired labels and pull zipper prove that details matter as it gives the jacket a stylish, laidback look.
The Down Jacket, on the other hand, boats duck down filling, a three-dimensional woven baffle construction that allows down the room to loft up to its maximum potential so as to trap more air for better insulation and more warmth, while it requires zero stitching to ensure no down leakage. Both jackets are engineered by Timberland’s proprietary Compatible Layering System – the Down Jacket can be zipped into the GORE-TEX® Cruiser Jacket to become an ultimate jacket solution, while these jackets are also interchangeable with other Timberland outer shell jacket and inner jacket.
The Timberland x MADNESS capsule collection will be available at Madness Beijing Salitun store and mdnsonline.com starting November 25th 2017 and at Timberland Mid Valley and Pavilion KL on November 30th 2017. All items will be available in an extremely limited quantity.
