Burberry will be unveling its first-ever straight-to-consumer collection — inspired by Virginia Woolf’s gender-bending classic Orlando, that will be on show next month at London Fashion Week. The brand has recently revealed a preview of the collection to allow its fans to get an early look at the pieces!
The campaign were shot by Mario Testino at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, and feature models Jean Campbell and Alex Dragulele, as well as Cavan McCarthy from the band Swim Deep, all wearing romantic pieces worthy of Woolf’s protagonist. Testino has also photographed some of the craftspeople behind the collection for an upcoming portfolio that will be released immediately following the show.
Burberry’s First Straight-to-Consumer Collection will be revealed on September 19, 2016 as part of London Fashion Week, contrasting masculine and feminine styles. The collection introduces The Bridle, a new bag for men and women, which takes its inspiration from classic British equestrian designs and Burberry’s outdoor heritage, and is previewed in the new campaign.
